Hey, my name is Celeste. The biggest thing I've learned from using LearnLux's services is that it is okay to just let go of control when it comes to money.
And that's actually a terrifying thing for somebody like me who has typically got everything under control. I know where my checkbook is at all times and how much money I have for things, but it really came into play for me this year.
I separated from my partner and that's a big enough thing on its own, but when we start to think about money and what it looks like to go from a double income to a single income and thinking about where my money's going and how can I actually save for things like a house now, if I'm doing this on my own, it all just felt really overwhelming.
So I was able to meet with a financial planner and go through some of the different budgeting bits available on LearnLux's site. And kind of the place I came to, is that it's actually all going to be okay.
And I want to be able to use money as a tool to save and a resource for myself to protect myself. But I also want to use it to have flexibility and have fun. So I'd rather step away from that place of lack and that place of fear, and feel good that I've got the support of LearnLux and actually see, hey, I am saving money. And, hey, I'm, I'm doing what I can.
And maybe it doesn't look like what I was doing before, but I'm still doing something. And maybe I'm not going to be able to buy a house right away, or maybe ever, and letting go of some of those things. And just saying, you know what, I'm doing enough right now and that's okay.
I also want to live my life. I want to have freedom and fun and flexibility and joy. And you can do those things with money. So having LearnLux has really helped me to see that while it might not look the way it used to, it can still look really good right now.
Thank you to Celeste for sharing her story!
