Hello, my name is Samantha and I'm here to share my story about how LearnLux changed my financial game plan. Before discovering LearnLux, I had some general understanding of how finances work, such as credit cards, checking accounts, and some budgeting. However, when it came to things such as loans, mortgages, and HSAs, I was at a bit of a loss.
I did have some savings set back, but I didn't have a 401(k) set up and I did not prioritize my insurance or health savings. After going through some of the lessons, I found out how important it is to have these resources and how beneficial they are for my long term financial goals. The lessons are categorized and broken down, making them easy to navigate and digest.
There are many tips, resources, and examples that really give a full understanding of how to apply this to daily living. Personally, it has empowered me to challenge myself to learn more about financial points I was previously unaware of or not as familiar with. The lessons helped me put a different perspective on how I could get a better game plan for my finances.
Today, I have a 401(k) established to help get me on track to retirement. I also have an insurance plan along with an HSA, which I didn't know before would help lower my taxable income for the year. Since it's coming directly out of my paycheck, it's pre tax, so I don't have to worry about taxes on it.
